Elena Gherghe is a mixed media and digital illustrator with a passion for experimenting with art and creating a safe and open space for the continuous conversation around mental health.

From a Romanian background and established in Wales for the past 6 years, Elena has been actively involved in local community projects, using her work as a way to push the boundaries of how mental health is approached in a personal and professional context. Her illustration work is heavily inspired by her cultural background, the main source of inspiration being a combination of nature and pop culture elements.

Through her work and platform, Elena invites the public for a conversation around social issues like discrimination, diversity and accessibility. She treats her craft as a tool for managing personal experiences and encourages others to reach for growth outside their comfort zone through creative practices.
