Sahar Saki

Sahar is an award-winning international artist and designer from Iran, based in Cardiff. She has been awarded funding by UNESCO, Business Wales, and Art Council of Wales. Sahar has worked with many organisations, and community centers such as Welsh National Opera, Sherman Theatre, Arcade Cardiff, Riverside Centre, Llanover Hall Arts Centre, GWENT Art in Health, Craft In The Bay, Cardiff Council, and has exhibited her work around Wales, recently in The Mission Gallery in Swansea. 

They use text, calligraphy, bold vibrant colours and is inspired by her Iranin heritage and old patterns whilst transforming them into a contemporary visual language.

Sahar has been represententing her work in the form of mural art in the past couple of years in public places, and last year, managed to run a mural festival to amplify the feminist movement in Iran.

Her PWSH mural is a Persian pattern design inspired by Old Persian rug in a contemporary bold colours. It is upstairs in Cardiff Indoor Market.
